Delete your Nilfpay account

You can delete your Nilfpay seller account at any time, from inside the app or by emailing us. You do not need to install anything to make the request.

From the app

• Open Nilfpay and tap the settings icon.
• Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
• Type DELETE to confirm.

Without the app

Email [email protected] from the address on your Nilfpay account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm by reply. If you write from a different address we will ask you to verify the account address first — otherwise anyone who knew your email could close your shop.

What happens straight away

• Your shop stops accepting new orders immediately. Your storefront link stops taking payment.
• Notifications to your phone stop, and you are signed out.
• Orders people have already paid for stay visible so you can still hand them over or refund them.

What we delete, and when

Once any orders people already paid for have been collected or refunded, we remove your personal details: your name, email address, phone number, shop name and description, product photos and descriptions, your shop logo, and your follower and customer lists.

What we have to keep

We keep records of completed payments — amounts, dates, and the last four digits of the bank account we paid out to. US financial recordkeeping rules require this, and we cannot delete it on request. It is kept in our accounting records, not in a shop anyone can see, and it is not used to contact you.

Your buyers' information

Receipts we sent your buyers are their records, not yours, and stay in their inbox. Buyer email addresses attached to completed orders are kept with those payment records for the same reason.

How long it takes

If nothing is outstanding, within 30 days. If you have orders that people have paid for but not collected, we wait for those to be collected or refunded first, and we will tell you if that is why it is taking longer. Backups are overwritten on a rolling 90 day cycle, so a copy may persist in an offline backup for up to 90 days after deletion.

Changed your mind?

Email [email protected] before the deletion completes and we will reopen the shop. Once it is done it cannot be undone.
